5 YEARS LATER --- ONE DAY
"Bzzzz...... Bzzzz...... Bzzzz...... Bzzzz...... Bzzzz......" The
electric alarm wakes up Addy as usual. He picks his cell phone up
with one hand to turn the alarm off and finds Medio waving to him
on it.
She, "Medio", is the main character in White Room, which is one of
the most popular video games with the most sales to date. They have
service that delivers information along with the voice and icon of
the character Medio attached to mobile devices such as cell phones
around the world. White Room was developed in a big way. It was designed
for you to play a role in a fantasy world. White Room has also become
a household name in anime so Medio is especially famous to the children
of the world.
Addy wonders if he can keep sleeping a little longer since he has
not taken any days off until today. He finally says "Good Morning"
to her and decides to get up. It is 11 a.m.
Sleepy Addy goes into the kitchen, Medio speaks the menu for breakfast.
The service called Good Morning Today seemed to be activated by sensing
his movement as he passes the refrigerator. She is intelligent but
seems to talk too much at times. Addy takes a slice of bread and cup
of coffee with him and goes in the living room.
"Oh I forgot to bring the salad bowl."
He presses a button on the cell phone, and says
"Medio, I'll be right back."
He puts it on the table, then returns to the kitchen.
After returning from the kitchen the TV turns on and the screen is
illuminated with "Hard Killer" on Interactive Horror Channel. His
local cable company started providing this kind of service a couple
of years ago. Addy goes back to the living room.....
"What the hell is going on with this? Did I do anything wrong last
night or what?"
The main character has no way out. Addy apparently made the wrong
decision in the middle of the show the previous time he played. He
switches back to the first scene to watch, and try again.
After breakfast and a little TV interaction, Addy goes upstairs to
check something out. He was playing the network game "The Revolutions",
and he is thinking about it now. He gets excited when Medio tells
him the news that the game says Napoleon Bonaparte was killed on the
way to Waterloo. Addy joined the network game as a French Guerrilla.
Yes he did change the history. He gets online and jumps into the chat
room for Revolutions, and sees his net buddies are already in there.
They exchange information with each other to find out what happened
last night. It won't take long to know what is going on in there.
Medio says something to Addy, but he can't hear her. She speaks up
to Addy "Now you need some fresh air, Addy."
"OK Okay!"
Addy
looks out the window, then he finally gets offline as it is 2 p.m.
already.
"Hmm... it's a beautiful day."
He picks up a key and rushes down to the garage to go for a drive.
He has no idea where to drive, but there is no doubt "Fuzzy Drivin"
in the car's navigation system will offer some good recommendations.
He would like to relax in the greens where the birds are singing.
He picks out one of the choices the navigation software offers him,
and follows it.
"It's gonna be a great day today!"
----- Addy is fading out to the fantasy world
where White Room is supposed to be -----

towards the future. Now we are leaving for the fantasy world, just
to meet Addy and Medio.
